| Fibres, Tapes and Flooring |

Adhesive tapes and films play an important role in many applications that are not obvious to the consumer. Some films are used just as protection of the article from the journey from plant to shop and is removed before the custoemr even sees it! But these films and tapes need protection too and our anti oxidants help for protection from heat while our light stabilisers offer UV resistance.

Polymer fibers are commonly made from:
• Polyamide (nylon)
• PET or PBT polyester
• Polyolefins (PP and PE)
• Acrylic polymer
Being made from polymers, these fibres can thermally degrade at the high temperatures used to make them and anti oxidants are required to prevent just this. These anti-oxidants should also be resistant to gas fading to prevent colour loss etc.

Residential, industrial and sports flooring applications represent a substantial volume of the polymers used by the building industry. PVC flooring is one of the most important materials in this branch.

Artificial grass is a man-made surface manufactured from synthetic materials, made to look like natural grass. It is most often used in arenas for sports that were originally or are normally played on grass. However, it is now being used on residential lawns and commercial applications as well and must therefore protected against environmental impact.
