Furniture
Plastics have been used in furniture since it was proven that these materials are strong, lightweight, versatile in design, reduce costs and can be decorated in all patterns and varieties of colour. This capabilities are pre-requisites in the manufacture of furniture that is also subjective to the whims of fashion. Thermal and light stabilisers can play a key role in keeping the asthetic appeal of furniture as well as preventing degradation during manufacture.

Pipes & Fittings
Traditional materials used in manufacturing pipes are being increasingly replaced by plastics, which are lighter weight, less expensive and easier to use. Depending on their final application, plastic pipes require different levels of processing, thermal and light stability.
Fittings are critical for piping systems to ensure long lasting secure jointing systems and a maintenance free service life.

Roofing Membranes
Plastic roofing membranes are widely used for waterproofing systems in domestic and industrial flat roof markets. Plastic Roofing Membranes should contain a process stabilizer to protect the membrane during extrusion or calendering, and a UV stabilizer and a thermal stabilizer to protect the membrane from heat and light degradation during the product lifetime. UV stabilizers that provide the most protection are combinations of low molecular weight and high molecular weight HALS.

Sealing profiles & Sealants
Sealants are required to seal and adhere to the appropriate mating surfaces over a wide range of temperatures, environmental stress and joint movement conditions. To ensure that the physical properties of sealants are maintained, it is necessary to prevent or retard the degradation of the sealant.

Technical Profiles
Continuing demands for weight reduction of industrial profiles but with the same mechanical properties can be met by chemical foaming. The fine and well distributed foam structure that are a feature of the blowing agents from ADEKA-PALMAROLE can be achieved for most of the polymers used for industrial profiles. Fire resistance, protection from UV and resistance to discolouration during processing are all features that can be added by selecting the right flame retardants, light stabilisers and/or anti oxidants.
For PVC our stabilizers and additives have been developed for profiles like for example Roller Shutters, Gutters, Fences or Wallsidings.

Window Profiles
Builders, architects and homeowners want window and doorframes, shutters and other profiles that maintain their functionality and color for the life of the product. ADEKA Palmarole provides therefore a special range of additives to achieve those objectives.
The ADK STAB RX-200 series PVC stabilisers has been developed with rigid PVC in mind. The ADK STAB RX-200 series is heavy metal free (Cd, Pb and, Ba-free) imparting low environmental impact and is ideally suited for PVC recycling.

WPC
Wood plastics composites as wood replacements form a relatively new industry that is quickly expanding. A wood plastic composite refers to the use of certain wood fibers or flour together with PVC, PE or PP that is extruded into shape using conventional plastics processing equipment.
